An ancient village among the vineyards
and the park of millenary olive trees

Immersed in a 200-hectare estate is the Borgo of Podere Montale, which today is an agriturismo and winery, with rooms, suites, a restaurant and a swimming pool. All around are vineyards, olive groves and the bush of Monte Amiata, with a stunning view of the Val d’Orcia.

A perfectly preserved ancient Borgo in the Amiata shrubland, where you can spend fantastic wine and food holidays, discovering local wines and foods, the territory and traditions.

The Borgo, a cluster of farmhouses with different functions and sizes, can be reached from the old stone rural road. The farmhouses provide suites, rooms and flats for our guests.

The Borgo is included in the 200-hectare Podere Montale property and is about 1 kilometre by internal track from our winery. It consists of five structures that have been completely renovated and equipped with every comfort: the “Fattoria”, the beating heart of the place, the farmhouses of the ” Guardiano”, the “Cacciatore”, the “Pastore” and the ‘Scuderie’.

There is also an old bread oven dating back to the 1500s: together with the rest of the buildings, it has recently been renovated, maintaining the old charm with modern comfort and is still functional.

All the farmhouses are interconnected by an internal pedestrian pathway.

The Borgo’s outdoor venues and indoor halls make it possible to host corporate events and wedding ceremonies, enjoying unique privacy and confidentiality: visit the Events & Weddings section events & weddings at Podere Montale Il Borgo.

Our guests can thus enjoy a sunset stroll through the vineyards and olive groves of Tuscany during their holiday at Podere Montale. When evening is approaching, enjoy an aperitif with wines from our Winery, on the panoramic terrace with a breathtaking view over the Val d’Orcia.

Dinner will be served at our in-house restaurant Le Logge al Borgo, where our chef will propose traditional Tuscan country dishes.

The surrounding nature is luxuriant and varied: strolling along the property’s paths, passing by vineyards and ancient olive groves located at altitudes from 400 to 600 metres above sea level. Along the way, there are many viewpoints and ‘belvederes’ between the Val d’Orcia and Monte Amiata.

The recently built swimming pool has a unique view over the Val d’Orcia and is hidden among the chilly leaves of a millennial olive grove, ensuring our guests exclusivity, peace and quiet and maximum privacy, well-being with the poolside bar service.
